Our Heritage
The story of Borgo la Madrice begins generations ago, in a family home built within the old heart of Castellamare. The house belonged to fishermen and craftsmen, people who shaped the rhythm of this neighbourhood long before tourism arrived.
When we decided to restore it, our goal wasn’t to create something new, but to keep its spirit alive: the original tiles underfoot, the old doors still creaking with history, and the small imperfections that make it real.
This heritage is what we share with every guest: a quiet, honest slice of Sicilian life that still feels like home.
